San Francisco 49ers star George Kittle recruiting Aaron Judge to the team

It is looking less and less likely that the 2020 MLB season will be played at all. Currently, the league and its players are mired in an ugly financial stalemate amid the ongoing worldwide pandemic.

Could this mean some baseball players are prepared to switch careers and head to the gridiron? That would be somewhat hilarious. We now have one of the NFL’s best skill-position players recruiting one of the best power hitters in recent Major League Baseball history to his team.

San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle recruits Aaron Judge to the defending NFC champs

It started with someone posing a question about whether Judge would be willing to sign with the 49ers. Sure the conversation was in jest, but it also took on a life of its own.

Kittle responded to the All-Star outfielder, recruiting him in the process.

That would be ridiculously unfair. Judge stands at 6-foot-7 and weighs 282 pounds. His frame aligns with being a tight end. Imagine Judge and Kittle doing their thing for Jimmy Garoppolo. Obviously, it’s not happening. Still fun to consider.

Will the 2020 MLB season take place?

Most recently, the Players’ Association indicated that it is done negotiating with owners. At issue here is players receiving both a prorated salary and being forced into a revenue share plan. MLB itself continues to cry poor despite the fact that it just inked a $1 billion television deal with Turner Sports.

The backdrop here is a raging pandemic that continues to grow around the United States and the unlikelihood that fans will be in attendance for games during the 2020 MLB season.
