NBA fans were already excited for basketball to return at Walt Disney World in Orlando in a month. Now that the Los Angeles Lakers are closing in on a deal with J.R. Smith, the NBA world is losing its mind.
ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported on Monday that the Lakers are working to finalize a contract for the remainder of the 2019-’20 NBA season.
It came after more than a week of speculation that the Lakers could be a fit to sign Smith, reuniting him with LeBron James. The iconic duo has gone through their share of experiences together and are close friends.
NBA fans desperately wanted to see the Lakers to sign Smith to help provide another level of entertainment for the return. Now that it’s happening and with Smith now headed to live in a bubble with James and their teammates, the NBA world lit up with incredible reactions.
