The Arizona Cardinals are taking decisive action and are cutting wide receiver Jermiah Braswell, who was arrested over the weekend.

Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle shared the news on Monday.

Jermiah Braswell crashed his Camaro into Lake Erie

On Friday night, Braswell was spotted speeding down the road by witnesses before crashing his Chevrolet Camaro into Lake Erie.

After police arrived on the scene, a Blood Alcohol Content test (BAC) was administered, and Braswell was found to be over the legal limit for the state of Ohio. As such, he was arrested and charged with OVI (Operating a Vehicle while under the Influence of alcohol or drugs of abuse).

Cardinals signed Jermiah Braswell as an undrafted rookie

Braswell played his college ball at Youngstown State. In four years at the school, he totaled 51 receptions for 986 yards and 11 touchdowns. He also made one of the best catches in college football during the 2019 season.

After leaving school, he was signed as an undrafted free agent in late April.

Already a long shot to make the roster, Braswell did himself no favors getting into trouble off the field. Following his arrest, the Cardinals didn’t waste any time cutting him.
