Longtime Atlanta Falcons owner Arthur Blank has proven himself to be a valuable member of the community through the most trying of times.
Blank has now doubled down on that amid the growing call for civil rights reform around the United States.

It was late last month that Mr. Blank called for unity following the murder of George Floyd and ensuing riots in Atlanta. He’s also in the past helped the community through donations.
That included a whopping $5.4 million to both the Georgia community and Montana in order to help combat the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

The Falcons’ activism is not limited to their head coach. Former NFL MVP Matt Ryan donated $500,000 to help combat systemic racism in the United States. He’s also taking part in an online drive to raise another $2 million.
More so than pretty much any city outside of Minneapolis, Atlanta has been impacted by the ongoing racial division in the country.
The murder of Ahmaud Arbery in Glynn County, Georgia, back in February has obviously played a role here. The death of Rayshard Brooks in Atlanta earlier this month has also ignited the flame of racial division in the city with police brutality taking center stage.
As for the Falcons, it’s great to see them doing their part in the region. As an NFL team, they have the platform. They’re obviously using it.
