After MLB talks fall apart, Bryce Harper jokingly hits Philadelphia Eagles up on Twitter

The MLB season is on the brink of imploding thanks to a magnificently botched negotiation led by Rob Manfred. Never one to stay down for long, Philadelphia Phillies star Bryce Harper has his eyes on a different sport now that MLB appears to be doomed this summer.

Bryce Harper hitting up the Philadelphia Eagles

As news of Manfred’s latest debacle spread on social media, Harper tweeted, “What’s good @Eagles?”

This isn’t the first time Harper has hinted at wanting to join the Eagles this summer. Appearing on a podcast with Eagles offensive tackle Lane Johnson, Harper said he’d sign a one-year deal with the NFL franchise this summer if baseball isn’t happening.

The only real problem with all this is that the NFL is already seeing some signs of trouble. After multiple players tested positive for COVID-19 recently, some NFL head coaches are worried about playing this season amid the coronavirus pandemic.

So at this point, my real question is: Can Bryce Harper hop into the octagon and hit up Fight Island?
