Fenway Park remains depressingly empty with the 2020 MLB season still suspended due to the ongoing pandemic.

One of the most iconic venues in the sports world, the home of MLB’s Boston Red Sox, took on new meaning Wednesday.

It took part in the Convoy of Champions in Boston, which included 50 ambulances driving from Worcester to the old ballpark as a way to pay homage to COVID-19 first responders. It really was a sight to behold.

Those on hand forming a heart at the end gave us all goosebumps. It’s times like these that we finally gain a great appreciation of what those within the medical and emergency professions do to help communities around the world.

As for baseball returning to Boston, it could potentially happen some time in July without fans in attendance. That remains up in the air.
