Washington Redskins WR Cody Latimer arrested in Colorado

It appears that the NFL offseason is now officially what it has been over the past several years.

Days after two star cornerbacks were arrested on eight different felony charges, another NFL player is in legal hot water.

According to multiple reports, current Washington Redskins wide receiver and former Denver Broncos first-round pick Cody Latimer has been arrested in Colorado on four different charges, including assault in the second degree and illegal discharge of a firearm.

Here’s the police report from Douglas County in Colorado.

“While in route, deputies learned that the reporting party had heard arguing and what they believed to be gunshots inside of an apartment. On scene, deputies were able to gain entry into the apartment, where they contacted three individuals, who were all detained,” the report read. “One party had minor injuries, not related to a gunshot. No other injuries were reported. One adult male, identified as Cody Latimer DOB 101092, was taken into custody and transported to the Douglas County Detention Facility.”

A second-round pick of the Broncos back in 2014, Latimer bombed out big time with his original team. He caught a grand total of 61 passes in four seasons before moving on to play with the New York Giants the past two seasons. Coincidentally, he was teammates with another player arrested this past week in that of Deandre Baker last season.
