There’s a good chance we’ll find out details about the resumption of the 2019-20 NBA season at some point here in the next week or so.

NBA Commissioner Adam Silver is expected to lay out the plan to players and teams on June 1. As of right now, the expectation is that the season will resume at ESPN’s Wide World of Sports complex within Walt Disney World in Orlando.

There’s nothing but optimism as it relates to a potential resumption of the season. Though, details still need to be figured out.

Among them, teams without any realistic hope of making the playoffs might not want to return to the season in Florida. What’s the point of heading to a bubble city to play a handful of games?

Portland Trail Blazers star center Jusuf Nurkic pitched a rather interesting idea on Twitter Saturday afternoon. Whether it’s even possible remains to be seen.

Some will say that this tournament would be unfair to teams who performed at a high clip prior to the season being suspended on March 11. That’s a fair argument.

But the idea seems like a whole lot of fun. Teams seeded 1-30 with the Milwaukee Bucks taking on the Golden State Warriors in the initial round. Who would not want to see Stephen Curry go up against Giannis Antetokounmpo?

It’s some food for thought as plans are being made for the resumption of the season.
