‘Half the league’ has failed Alabama star LB Terrell Lewis medically?

Terrell Lewis

One of the more intriguing NFL Draft prospects this year is former Alabama linebacker Terrell Lewis, who has elite pass-rushing traits. Unfortunately, a report by Tony Pauline of Pro Football Network indicates he could fall in a big way in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Pauline wrote Monday that “A number of teams, dare I say half the league, have medically failed Terrell Lewis of Alabama.”

Lewis has a history of injuries, having torn knee ligaments twice already at Alabama. So it’s not surprising to hear that teams may be wary of his ability to stay healthy at the NFL level.

Still, it would be stunning to see a talented player like Lewis fall into Day 3 of the draft.

Last season, appearing in 10 games, Lewis tallied 11.5 tackles for loss and six sacks for the Crimson Tide.

At this point, it seems like Lewis is going to have a chance to prove a lot of people wrong as one of the draft’s biggest steals.
