Carolina Panthers star running back Christian McCaffrey announced a program (22 and You) he is launching to help provide funds for healthcare workers.

McCaffrey shared a message from his Twitter account announcing the program.

“Like all of you, I have been watching the COVID-19 public health emergency unfold with shock and sadness,” McCaffrey shared. “I am moved by the heroic and selfles efforts of our frontline healthcare providers throughout the Carolinas and beyond. As such, I have decided to launch an effort to help them in their life-saving work.”

The program is partnered with Lowe’s Home Improvement and Bose, and McCaffrey said he’s matching the financial commitment of both companies. He’s also encouraging others to give “whatever you can” and has suggested amounts of “$22, $220, or $2,200.”
