Buccaneers GM has coy response to Rob Gronkowski question

Rob Gronkowski meme

There has been plenty of smoke that Rob Gronkowski may be interested in returning to the NFL, and that he could be itching to play with good buddy Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Heck, we explored this very scenario well before the Bucs landed Brady in free agency, noting Tampa Bay was one of the teams that could pull it off.

It’s been a hot topic ever since Gronk retired last year, and given his relative youth (still just 30) it’s likely going to keep persisting.

When asked about the possibility the Bucs could be interested in landing Gronkowski, general manager Jason Licht gave quite a coy answer Thursday.

Very clever response by Licht, who may have a future in politics someday if he so chooses.

Gronk did just win the 24/7 title at WrestleMania 36, and he is clearly one of the people the WWE is promoting heavily right now. And yes, the Patriots do still own his rights. But the idea of Brady and Gronkowski teaming up once again is a tantalizing prospect that’s just too tasty to discount altogether.
