The COVID-19 pandemic across the globe has taken away so much of the everyday things that people love. In a time when everyone is feeling down and we don’t have baseball to provide an escape, legendary broadcaster Vin Scully offered the words of encouragement we all need to hear during these difficult times.
Scully, resting comfortably and looking better than ever in his home, recounted some of his fondest baseball memories. It served as a moment in time that reminded baseball fans of the things they miss with the season suspended, all while hearing Scully’s iconic voice.
Even more importantly, Scully offered precious words of wisdom and perspective that can help so many during the COVID-19 pandemic. While the situation might be scary, Scully reminds everyone that we’ve made it through difficult circumstances before and always come out stronger and more unified.
The 92-year-old provided a sense of hope for everyone. Better yet, he also offered some key advice about being sure to spend time with family and embracing the moments we have with them. Of course, a little smile can go a long way as well.
