Tom Brady officially signs with Buccaneers

Tom Brady, Buccaneers

After days of waiting for it to become real, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers officially signed Tom Brady on Friday.

The future Hall of Famer posted a picture of himself signing the contract and posted a message about his excitement for joining the Buccaneers and what fans and teammates can expect from him. The team confirmed the news in a statement.

Brady agreed to join the Buccaneers on Tuesday, but league rules due to the coronavirus epidemic prevented him from going to the team’s facilities and taking his physical. Both sides agreed to let him see a neutral doctor in New York on Thursday and the 42-year-old got the clearance he needed to make the deal official.

After 20 years with the Patriots, Brady is leaving the only organization he’s ever known for an even greater shot at winning a seventh Super Bowl. The Buccaneers are loaded with talent, with even more seemingly wanting to join them.

Fans can celebrate once more with the news now official. After years of dealing with frustrating play at quarterback and falling short of expectations, Brady could take the Buccaneers to new heights in 2020.
