Report: Redskins shopping starting CB Quinton Dunbar

Quinton Dunbar trade

Washington Redskins starting cornerback Quinton Dunbar has made it clear in the recent past that he wants to be traded or released.

It appears that the Skins are finally heeding that call. According to Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio, Washington is shopping the 27-year-old defensive back.

A former undrafted free agent from Florida, Dunbar has turned into a pretty good starter. He recorded 37 tackles, eight passes defended and four interceptions as a fifth-year player back in 2019. Dunbar has started 17 games over the past two seasons.

This comes after Washington released high-priced corner Josh Norman and signed Kendall Fuller, who the team had dealt in the Alex Smith trade years back.

If Washington does indeed trade Dunbar, it will be in the market for cornerback help early in the 2020 NFL Draft. Just don’t expect that to be with the No. 2 overall pick.
