Carolina Panthers veteran kicker Graham Gano played the role of a good Samaritan earlier this week when he joined other innocent bystanders in helping the victim of a car accident.

Gano tweeted out pictures of the wreck in Gaston County.

The accident happened right in front of him. According to the former Pro Bowler, a car cut off the big rig. It led to the truck careening down an embankment and into a drainage ditch.

A long with others at the scene, Gano helped put out the fire and save the driver from what could have been terrible injuries and potentially even death.

This is one heck of a story right here.

At a time when we should all be coming together for the greater good, the 32-year-old Gano proved that altruism is alive and well.
