Marlins troll Yankees on Twitter over using wrong logo

Marlins, Yankees

While the New York Yankees might be superior to the Miami Marlins on the diamond, we now know that the Marlins are far better on social media. When the New York Yankees tweeted out the lineups for Wednesday’s spring training game against Miami, the Marlins clapped back at them for using the wrong logo.

The Yankees can’t even blame their social media blunder on the Marlins’ graphic being new. The team switched to the black logo before the 2019 season. Fittingly, the Marlins called them out on it and they even did it with some creativity by treating it like the Yankees are seeing another partner.

Better yet, the fans got in on the fun with some classic responses that are reminiscent of the lines you’d hear from kids in high school and middle school

While the Marlins might struggle on the field in 2020, they can be proud of their championship-caliber social media team. Frankly, we can’t wait to see what they are capable of when the team starts winning and they can troll even more teams.
