A week after NBA fans were left in shock by Aaron Gordon being robbed in the Slam Dunk Contest, Brooklyn Nets fans used the slight as an epic troll when Gordon and the Orlando Magic played at the Barclays Center on Monday night.
During a trip to the free-throw line, Brooklyn’s fans started chanting, “Wade don’t like you” towards Gordon. Of course, it’s in reference to Gordon falling one point shy of tying Derrick Jones Jr’s score, a point that might have been decided by judge Dwyane Wade.
Being robbed in the NBA’s Slam Dunk Contest bothered Gordon after the event and in the days since. The 24-year-old vowed never to participate in the event again, feeling cheated by the process. While Gordon might not have shown it at the line, this troll chant from the fans might have gotten to him a little bit.
