Houston does indeed have a problem.

Astros pitcher Francis Martes has been suspended 162 games by MLB for violating its performance enhancing drug (PED) policy, according to Jon Heyman of MLB Network.

Martes, 24, was suspended 81 games last March for violating the same MLB policy.

All of this comes with the Astros facing widespread backlash for stealing signs during their championship season back in 2017.

While these two situations are vastly different in the grand scheme of things, it tells us a story of an organization that’s on the ropes.

As it relates to Martes, this could be the end of the line for his MLB career. He pitched to a 5.80 ERA and 1.51 WHIP in 32 appearances with the Astros back in 2017.
