Utah Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell’s dunks are often epic to watch. On Tuesday night, when the high-flying guard took flight for another wild slam, Mitchell was instead rejected by the rim in incredible fashion.
The 23-year-old wanted to put on a show at the Barclays Center with a slam that practically brought the house down. Instead, Brooklyn’s fans watched and laughed as the orange cylinder rejected Mitchell’s dunk attempt.
Mitchell was clearly ready to celebrate a ferocious slam at the hoop for a play that would have been on highlight reels for the next week. Unfortunately for him, he came up a bit short on the dunk and was sent crashing down. Fortunately, he avoided an injury and will get plenty of chances at redemption against that particular hoop.
