WATCH: Celtics’ Marcus Smart ejected after bad call, rips off jersey

Bill Streicher-USA TODAY Sports

The Boston Celtics did not have it in their home game against the Detroit Pistons Wednesday night, losing in stunning fashion by the score of 116-103.

Late in the game with Boston down by 14, officials at TD Garden called a horrible foul against lock-down Celtics defender Marcus Smart on Derrick Rose.

The end result was Smart getting his second technical of the game and finding himself ejected. Smart was then seen taking off his jersey in a fit of bad temper.

We can definitely understand where Smart is coming from here. Andre Drummond pretty much blocked him into Rose. It should have been called a moving screen.

As Smart noted, “for what?” as he exited the court. Just an ugly performance from the zebras here. At the very least, Smart didn’t throw a pen at them.
