Tua Tagovailoa ‘on pace’ for full recovery, will work out for teams after Alabama pro day

Tua Tagovailoa and his agent, Leigh Steinberg, spoke with media on Thursday and gave some positive updates on his recovery ahead of the 2020 NFL Draft.

Steinberg spoke with Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press and said Tagovailoa will be ready to work out for teams after Alabama’s pro day, which takes place on March 24.

A short while later, appearing on the “Dan Patrick Show,” Tagovailoa shared that he’s “on pace” for a full recovery.

The former Alabama Crimson Tide superstar quarterback suffered a scary season-ending hip injury last November that required emergency surgery.

At the time of the injury, many wondered if he’d be able to play in the NFL next season, if at all. His recovery has since been swift and successful, and at this point there isn’t a whole lot of concern about the hip assuming he continues on this path.

With that in mind, it’s hardly surprising that the two-time Heisman candidate is surging up draft boards, and the latest mock drafts have him going very high indeed.
