Houston Texans star defensive end J.J. Watt would rather be preparing for Super Bowl LIV after his team advanced to the divisional round this season.

A good backup plan has to be the three-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year hosting “Saturday Night Live” on the eve of the big game between the San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs.

To be fair, we kinda wanted to see Watt paired up with Justin Bieber on the legendary show. Alas, it was not to be.

The expectation has to be that this episode will be heavily football-themed with a man that lives the gridiron hosting it.

What a career accomplishment for the future Hall of Famer. From being compared to all-time great defenders to sharing the same stage with Richard Pryor, Betty White, Tom Hanks and Steve Martin.

Don’t screw it up, Mr. Watt!
