Report: Clippers ‘exploring trade market’ ahead of deadline

Andre Drummond trade

The Los Angeles Clippers had one of the biggest offseasons in recent memory, but they are still not satisfied with their roster and reportedly are looking at a potential trade.

Marc Stein of the New York Times shared that the Clippers are looking for “dependable size as well as potential wing depth” ahead of the Feb. 6 trade deadline. He also notes that the “Clippers are said to be concerned about their lack of muscle up front compared to the Lakers’ length as well as the ongoing health issues Kawhi Leonard and Paul George are battling.”

Just over halfway through the regular season, Los Angeles is sitting in third place in the Western Conference with a record of 31-14. They’re just a half a game ahead of the Denver Nuggets and a half a game behind the Utah Jazz, with the Los Angeles Lakers sitting atop the conference, 4.5 games ahead of their rival.

A couple of players the Clippers might be interested in trading for include Steven Adams of the Oklahoma City Thunder and Andre Drummond of the Detroit Pistons.

Adams has been mentioned as a potential trade target of the Atlanta Hawks, while Drummond has been talked about throughout the league as a player the Pistons are amenable to unloading.
