Packers’ Za’Darius Smith did not get fined for ‘snubbed’ shirt

Za'Darius Smith Snubbed

Green Bay Packers star pass rusher Za’Darius Smith made a statement last Sunday when he busted out a shirt that read “Snubbed” to celebrate a sack.

Smith has had a phenomenal season for the Packers. In his first year in Green Bay, he tallied 55 tackles and 13.5 sacks. But much to his chagrin, Smith did not earn a Pro Bowl nod and was not named to an All-Pro team. Snubbed, indeed.

Many wondered if the NFL would come down hard with a fine, because the NFL does that regularly with shoes and other equipment that isn’t standard league issue.

On Thursday, speaking with media ahead of the NFC Championship Game against the San Francisco 49ers, Smith shared that the NFL did not fine him for wearing the shirt.

Sometimes, the league gets it right.
