Packers DC: Marshawn Lynch 'capable of doing what he's done in the past'

Green Bay Packers defensive coordinator Mike Pettine was asked if Marshawn Lynch still looks like Marshawn Lynch, and his response was carefully crafted.

Ryan Wood of the Green Bay Press-Gazette shared Pettine’s response, which shows the Packers aren’t interested in providing bulletin-board material.

While Lynch has looked strong at the goal line (as Pettine noted), he certainly hasn’t been able to truly conjure the Beast Mode of yore. In fact, as we noted in our divisional-round preview, he was downright pedestrian last weekend during the Seattle Seahawks’ wild-card win over Philly.

The Seahawks are hoping Lynch can get back to his old form, and soon. Head coach Pete Carroll hinted that the veteran running back will get a lot more work this weekend against the Packers, so Pettine and his defense better be prepared.
