This is not something we see every day. A former Michigan State player turning in his green and white for Michigan’s maize and blue.
But that is the case with former three-star recruit, linebacker Edward Warinner. The Wolverines confirmed on Monday that Warinner has in fact decided to transfer to Michigan. He’ll join his father, offensive line coach Ed Warinner, on the team.
The younger Warinner entered the transfer portal earlier in January after appearing in seven games and recording three tackles this past season, per the Detroit Free Press.
The Ohio native was considered the 41st best inside linebacker in the 2018 recruiting class and sat out as a freshman before making his debut this past season. It’s not yet known if Warinner is on scholarship.
