Ed Reed makes hilarious ‘It’ comparison for Lamar Jackson

Hall of Famer Ed Reed had some incredible moments on the field and off during his legendary career. As the former Baltimore Ravens safety now watches Lamar Jackson lead his team on an incredible run, Reed made quite the statement when talking about Jackson’s talent.

Reed was asked how he would try and stop the front-runner for the NFL MVP Award. While he started talking about what it would take, the Hall of Famer quickly went away from the question and talked about what makes Jackson so unique.

“He’s the ultimate ‘It.’ When I say that, he’s like all the clowns in one that clown car,” Reed said, via WOOD TV8. “He’s the mean one. he’s the funny one. he’s the little one. He got it all. He’s got all those attributes that you would love to have in a quarterback.”

As Reed detailed, Jackson’s incredible gifts are what make him such a rare talent. While so much focus is placed on his running ability, which is evident since he broke Michael Vick’s rushing record, he can easily stay in the pocket and destroy defenses with his arm.

Of course, a player who delivered countless hits in his career also wants Jackson to listen to some of his advice. While big runs are great and fighting for extra yards can help in the moment, he needs to protect himself too.

Reed loves Jackson’s talent and believes he can get even better and enjoy prolonged success if he follows in some of the footsteps of those before him, like Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson, by learning from how they protected themselves from defenders and stayed healthy.
