WATCH: Panthers’ Vernon Butler punches Jack Doyle, flips off fans after ejection

Carolina Panthers defensive lineman Vernon Butler was ejected during Sunday’s game against the Indianapolis Colts after punching Indianapolis Colts tight end Jack Doyle.

Butler was pulling an offensive lineman down when they both fell to the ground. As he got up, Butler threw a sucker punch right into Doyle’s face mask and sent his head flying back violently.

Officials immediately ejected Butler from the game and his outburst continued on the sideline. After unleashing more emotions surrounded by teammates, he headed to the locker room and flipped off fans on his way out.

Butler, a first-round pick in 2016, has been a bust since arriving in the NFL. The Panthers will almost certainly move on from him this offseason, especially after the embarrassing incident.
