Thousands of Eagles fans sign petition for team to walk home from Miami

Philadelphia Eagles fans are not taking Sunday’s humiliating loss to the Dolphins well. By virtue of the 37-31 loss, Philadelphia heads into Week 14 at 5-7 on the season and one game out in the NFC East.

Immediately after the game, one Eagles fan decided to burn Carson Wentz’s jersey and plead with the young quarterback to retire.

He’s now joined by thousands of other Eagles fans showing a ton of salt following the loss. In fact, over 8,000 have signed a petition demanding that Eagles players walk home from South Beach.

“The Eagles are an absolute embarrassment and have done us wrong this entire season. They deserve to be punished and should not be allowed to fly home in comfort,” the petition read.

We’re openly wondering how someone thought of this. It really is an interesting concept. We just want to know if head coach Doug Pederson would be forced to join his players in the walk of shame.

Despite their loss, the Eagles head into Week 14 just one game behind the Dallas Cowboys in the NFC East.

But based on what we saw Sunday, any hope of making a trip to the playoffs can pretty much be thrown out the window.
