The Oakland Raiders have reportedly agreed to a two-year contract extension with Richie Incognito worth $14 million that includes $6.35 million guaranteed.
Jay Glazer of Fox Sports was first on the news, with Ian Rapoport of NFL Media providing financial details of this contract extension.
For Incognito, it’s a big turnaround after he spent the entire 2018 season out of the league following some disturbing off-field incidents that seemed to indicate his NFL career might be over.
Since signing with Oakland this past spring, Incognito, who opened the season on a two-game suspension, started 12 games and played at a very high level. He also showed he’s still got a nasty streak to him.
Clearly, the Raiders loved what they saw and wanted to reward Incognito for his efforts.
