LOOK: Terrell Suggs shows up to Chiefs’ practice

Just a few days after he “strongly considered” not reporting to any team that claimed him on waivers, linebacker Terrell Suggs took the practice field with the Kansas City Chiefs for the first time on Wednesday.

Suggs, who was surprisingly released by the Arizona Cardinals, reported to Kansas City after it claimed him via waivers on Monday.

The 37-year-old clearly wanted to return to the Baltimore Ravens to compete for another Super Bowl with the team he spent 16 years playing for. Instead, Kansas City claimed him on waivers, blocking him from Baltimore, and the move paid off big time.

Suggs will add another pass rusher to a defense that badly needs it. Across 13 games this season in Arizona, Suggs racked up eight tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks and four forced fumbles.

While he didn’t end up getting the reunion he wanted, Suggs will compete for a Super Bowl with one of the NFL’s best teams and could get a shot to knock his former team out of the playoffs.
