Cowboys’ DT Antwaun Woods arrested for marijuana possession, tampering with evidence

Dallas Cowboys defensive tackle Antwaun Woods was arrested on Tuesday after a traffic stop discovered he had more than two ounces of marijuana.

According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Woods was charged with tampering with evidence, possession of more than two ounces of marijuana and police cited him for possession of paraphernalia.

Woods, an undrafted free agent in 2016, has been with he Cowboys since 2018. The 26-year-old is currently sidelined by an MCL injury that tkept him out of practice this week and will sideline him for Thursday Night Football against the Chicago Bears.

The nose tackle last played against the New England Patriots and has racked up 15 tackles this season. In his absence, Christian Covington will continue to see more snaps on the interior defensive line.
