Cardinals plan for Kyler Murray (hamstring) to play Sunday

As the Arizona Cardinals look to end their 2019 season on a high note, the team is reportedly planning for quarterback Kyler Murray to play on Sunday against the Los Angeles Rams.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Murray will test out his hamstring during pregame warmups before his availability is officially determined. However, Arizona is planning on starting him, barring a setback, despite the injury.

Murray exited the Week 16 game against the Seattle Seahawks after suffering the hamstring injury. While he came into the weekend as a game-time decision, the rookie expressed a desire to play in Week 17.

The 22-year-old has 544 rushing yards and 3,397 passing yards this season. He has thrown 18 touchdowns this season and scored four rushing touchdowns so far this season. If Murray is able to play on Sunday, he can further solidify his status as the best offensive rookie this season.
