Angels reach deal to stay in Anaheim through 2050

Angel Stadium Anaheim

There has been some thought given to the idea that the Los Angeles Angels might relocate from their current home in Anaheim to another part of Southern California.

That idea can now be thrown out the window. The Angels announced on Wednesday that they have reached a deal with Anaheim to remain in the city through 2050.

As part of the deal, the Angels will buy the stadium and surrounding parking lots for a mere $325 million.

This seems to suggest that a new venue could be in the cards at some point soon. The Angels have played at their current stadium since 1966.
