The No. 2 LSU Tigers came into Saturday’s matchup with No. 3 Alabama knowing they could make plays. Tigers receiver Ja’Marr Chase proved that with a sensational grab and then took it in for the 33-yard score.

LSU’s offensive line gave Joe Burrow enough time to look deep and toss one up to his go-to receiver. Chase did an outstanding job to take a step back then soared into the air for a leaping grab over Crimson Tide cornerback Trevon Diggs, then came down and ran it with Diggs on the ground.

Of course, plays like this are nothing new for Chase. The 6-foot-1 receiver entered Saturday with nine touchdowns and 749 receiving yards, quickly establishing himself as one of the country’s best receivers.
