Despite being assaulted on national television by Myles Garrett, Mason Rudolph will not take any legal action against the Cleveland Browns pass rusher.
Ian Rapoport of NFL Media passed along this update Friday evening.
The NFL came down hard on Garrett, who ripped Rudolph’s helmet off his head and then hit him over the head with it during the waning moments of Thursday night’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. One of the leading candidates to win Defensive Player of the Year, Garrett was suspended indefinitely for his actions.
Rudolph was not without blame, however. He was attempting to rip Garrett’s helmet off before being overpowered, and it appears he kicked the pass rusher in the groin as well. Not surprisingly, the Browns are upset that he avoided a suspension for his part in the melee.
