The Detroit Lions were a penalty waiting to happen during the first half of Sunday’s game against the Dallas Cowboys.

How bad was it in Detroit? After Dallas scored a touchdown to go up 24-14 immediately before halftime, the Lions committed two personal foul penalties.

It enabled Dallas to kick off from the Detroit 35-yard line. This is not a drill. And the photo evidence is absolutely amazing.

What makes this even better is the fact that conservative Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett didn’t even try an onside kick. The worst that could have happened was Detroit getting the ball inside its own 30.

Alas, it was not to be.
