Jacoby Brissett feeling much better, optimistic about playing for Colts against Dolphins

Indianapolis Colts quarterback Jacoby Brissett suffered a scary-looking knee injury Sunday but could be back as early as this weekend against the Miami Dolphins.

An MRI revealed that Brissett is dealing with a minor MCL strain, which was the best possible news. On Tuesday, he told reporters that he is feeling much better and remains optimistic that he could play Sunday against the Fins.

If Brissett is unable to play, then veteran Brian Hoyer will start for the Colts against the Dolphins. He did throw three touchdowns against Pittsburgh on Sunday, but he also threw a ghastly pick-six and lost a fumble in a losing cause.

When healthy, Brissett has proven himself to be one of the league’s most efficient passers. So far this season, he’s completed 64.8% of his passes for 1,649 yards with 14 touchdowns and just three interceptions.
