The arrival of the final weekend of the college football regular season didn’t just bring rivalry week, it also brought snow to the battle for Paul Bunyan’s Axe.

As the Wisconsin Badgers and Minnesota Golden Gophers took the field at TCF Bank Stadium with the axe and a spot in the Big 10 Championship Game on the line, a sheet of snow began to fall.

While the action heated up with both offenses making big plays in the passing game, the temperature kept dropping and the snow continued to fall. As more and more college football fans took in the glorious event, they couldn’t help but appreciate the spectacle in the snow.

Watching one of college football’s best rivalries take place in a winter wonderland, many fans couldn’t help but ask, no, demand that future battles for Paul Bunyan’s Axe take place at the snow – no matter what it takes.
