Not much has gone right for the West Virginia Mountaineers this season. Freshman receiver Sam James is changing that after making an absurd touchdown grab against No. 11 Texas on Saturday.

West Virginia’s breakout freshman streaked down the sideline then had to come back towards midfield for a chance at the throw. Despite having a Longhorns defensive back on him, Jones dove into the end zone to make the eye-popping, 44-yard scoring grab.

James is quickly proving to be an impact player even with limited experience. He came into Week 6 with 263 receiving yards and is frequently putting his speed on display. Perhaps the answer to West Virginia’s offensive woes is getting James the football a lot more going forward.
