It’s not often a punter makes a punt on Saturday that makes your jaw drop. That’s precisely what Illinois punter Blake Hayes accomplished against Purdue with one of the most gorgeous boots you’ll ever see.

After Illinois’ offense stalled at its 35-yard line, Hayes ran out onto the field, looking to flip it and give his defense a nice advantage. He went beyond the expectations, though, as the punt landed inside Purdue’s 20-yard line then rolled down the sideline and went out at the one-yard line.

Of course, the punt is even better because it then rolled directly into the pylon. It proved to be the perfect punt for Illinois and gave us a rare moment of insane accuracy by a college punter.
