Christian McCaffrey is off to a legendary start, outpacing Ezekiel Elliott and Todd Gurley — the two highest-paid running backs in the league — combined.
ESPN’s SportsCenter took note of this on Twitter, sharing that, after Week 5, McCaffrey has more yards from scrimmage (866) than Elliott and Gurley combined (816).
Rather than take this personally, Gurley had an incredible high-road reaction on Twitter as he shouted out McCaffrey for his achievements.
Coming out of Stanford, McCaffrey’s explosive playmaking abilities made him the No. 8 overall pick of the 2017 NFL Draft. He’s only gotten better with age, and on a weekly basis he’s wowing the masses with his exploits.
It’s pretty awesome that one of his peers is just as excited to see him dominate as the rest of us watching from home.
