Report: Titans, Lions among teams interested in Dolphins’ Kenyan Drake

As the Miami Dolphins continue to shop players in the search for more draft picks, the Tennessee Titans and Detroit Lions have reportedly emerged as two teams interested in acquiring running back Kenyan Drake.

According to The Miami Herald’s Barry Jackson, Detroit and Tennessee are among the teams to have discussed acquiring the running back from Miami. As of now, no team has reportedly come near Miami’s asking price – a fourth-round pick.

According to the report, one undisclosed team offered a conditional seventh-round pick in 2020 that could become a sixth-round pick if certain marks were met. Another team reportedly offered a late-round 2021 pick.

It will likely be tough for Miami to acquire anything higher than a fifth-round pick for Drake. The 25-year-old will be a free agent this offseason and the Dolphins wouldn’t receive a compensation pick for him given their plans to spend on free agents.

Drake is still an intriguing option for teams in need of a pass-catching back. He hauled in 52 receptions for 477 receiving yards and five touchdowns in 2018, but his numbers have dipped this season with Miami’s offense struggling.
