There’s bad headlines. Some of them have to do with editors not being on the ball. Others simply lack common sense.

We’re going to go with a combination of the two at a local Bay Area news station following the Atlanta Braves’ blowout 13-1 loss to the St. Louis Cardinals in Game 5 of the NLDS on Wednesday.

Check out KTVU with the most unfortunate of headlines in covering the story.

What in the world is even happening here? “Braves scalped.” That’s not funny in any way.

This all comes on the heels of controversy surrounding the Braves’ tomahawk chop mantra. Maybe know the history behind the treatment of Native Americans in this country. Just some food for thought.

Double facepalm, indeed.
