Jason Garrett 'absolutely not' on hot seat, Cowboys' Stephen Jones says

The Dallas Cowboys started the season hot but have lost their last two games, leading many to wonder if Jason Garrett is on the hot seat. On Monday, Cowboys vice president Stephen Jones squashed all that talk in an appearance with 105.3 The Fan.

Cowboys VP Stephen Jones said on @1053thefan that Jason Garrett is "absolutely not" on the hot seat. "He's done a great job with this team. As you saw yesterday, he had this team playing hard when on a lot of teams that game could've gotten real ugly when it was (31-3)."

Truly, despite the two losses, Dallas remains one of the better teams in the NFC and would be making a huge mistake to rock the boat now by firing Garrett.

Jerry Jones has been steadfastly loyal to his head coach in the past after much more difficult times, and it would be stunning to see him make an about-face on this issue. Furthermore, his response to Garrett drawing a 15-yard penalty for yelling at a ref during Sunday’s loss to Green Bay told us all we need to know about how he views the coach.
