Year 2 of the Willie Taggart era at Florida State got off to a horrendous start when the Seminoles gave up a massive lead in the second half, losing Boise State in Week 1.

On Monday, Taggart made a shocking statement that shows he and his staff failed to prepare the players for a game that was played in some significant heat.

Really, this is the type of proactive preparation every team should be doing, without needing a brutal reminder in the form of a second-half collapse.

Needless to say, Taggart isn’t giving us a ton of confidence that he’s got a road map to turn the program around.
