WATCH: Wisconsin scores two defensive touchdowns against Northwestern

The Wisconsin Badgers weren’t getting the kind of offensive production we’ve seen this year on Saturday, so their defense stepped up in a huge way.

Locked into a 7-3 game late in the third quarter, Matt Henningsen scored a touchdown after Eric Burrell sack-stripped Hunter Johnson.

Then, following a field goal to make it 17-3, big Noah Burks intercepted Northwestern backup quarterback Aidan Smith and returned it 68 yards to the house, rumbling his way into the end zone.

Wisconsin’s defense is arguably the best in the nation. The way it shut down Michigan last weekend was a sight to behold, and this unit is pouring it on Saturday against the poor Wildcats.

Maybe the Badgers’ putrid uniforms aren’t so bad, after all.
