WATCH: Georgia honors Arkansas State HC Blake Anderson’s wife with ‘pink out’

While the Georgia Bulldogs are proud of their school’s colors, the fan base put aside the red and black for pink on Saturday in honor of Arkansas State head coach Blake Anderson’s wife.

Georgia honored Wendy Anderson, who passed away in August after a two-year battle with breast cancer, with a “pink out” at Sanford Stadium for Saturday’s game against Arkansas State to raise awareness for breast cancer research.

Where there would normally be a sea of red across the stadium instead was a wave of pink throughout with countless posters and dedications in honor of Wendy. A few of Georgia’s fans even stood together and honored her along the sideline.

Sports is full of passionate people and Saturday’s incredible showing at Sanford Stadium shows the compassion and creativity people can have for others.
