Just hours after losing starting quarterback Sam Darnold indefinitely due to Mononucleosis, the New York Jets can now at least breathe a sigh of relief following MRI results on running back Le’Veon Bell’s shoulder.

According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, test results indicated there is no major damage or tears in Bell’s shoulder.

New York sent Bell for tests on his shoulder after holding him out of practice on Thursday. Fortunately for the team, the precautionary tests delivered the news it was hoping for.

Bell worked as the team’s workhorse back in the Week 1 loss to the Buffalo Bills. If he is cleared to play on Monday, he could be asked to take on an even larger workload with Darnold sidelined.
