New York Jets running back Le’Veon Bell will make his debut with the team Sunday against the Buffalo Bills after being held out of the entire preseason.

The former Pittsburgh Steelers three-time Pro Bowler is ready to go and shake the cobwebs off. He also has a message for first-year Jets head coach Adam Gase. Don’t hold me back. Literally.

Whether Bell actually knows what literally means isn’t the point here. He’s coming in as clear as day. The star back doesn’t want to be eased into the action against Buffalo. Throw him out there to dominate after Bell sat out the entire 2018 season as a member of the Steelers.

From New York’s perspective, this message should resonate big time. Despite the team’s success on offense during the summer, Bell needs to be a focal point come Week 1.

After all, the Jets signed him to a four-year, $52.5 million deal during the offseason.
